Anonymous I also experienced this. I believe they changed the adhesive formula when the packaging changed with no warning. I called and they are replacing my existing pods with what I a...

Hi I am new to the Pod and am really enjoying it my only complaint is I use more than the 200 units in a 3 day period I use to use one of those other pumps someone complained about high blood sugars.with the pump and the CGM it worked with my CGM said I was dropping but a finger poke showed totally the opposite. I did a study through the Barbra Davis center here in the Denver Area so I was use to the Dexcom CGM very easy to get use to it. I like...

Omnipod Insulin Pump Review

The pod did not deliver any insulin at all and my sugars remained incredibally high. After four different attempts to receive insulin I had to remove the pod and give myself a shot using the humalog kwik pen. Within 25 minutes my sugar began to drop.

I was having itching, rashes, and bruising at the injection spot thinking I was allergic to the adhesive.Never had I gone through anything like this. I've never been allergic to adhesive and I had tried over the counter creams and medications. The itching would wake me up at night. Finally, I telephoned the company and asked if there was an alternative to adhesive for their device. I was informed by a representative in product support that the...

Anonymous I completely agree that the company attempt to pull a fast one. I believe they changed adhesive formula when the packaging changed, probably to save money. I also had the reac...

Was so excited for Omnipod. It seemed like everything I wanted/needed and had hoped for. The first few weeks started out pretty great. (I started a CGM at the same time - which made everything so much easier.) But it seems like over time I've encountered the same problems as every one else. Pods fail ALL the time. And I've found a way to get insulin out of them - the old timey insulin syringes which just fine to extract the insulin. If I...

I have been wearing the Omni pod for almost 3 years now and love it.However, about 3 months ago, I started to having an allergic reaction at the pod site. Extreme itching and raised patches of red irritated skin underneath the pod. I just read that Omni Pod has changed from a gluten free adhesive to one with gluten. I am not gluten intolerant and have never had any problems until the change. Its bad enough that if this situation is not resolved,...

Anonymous Same here few months ago. reaction to the pump. very bad.

I have been a "podder" for about 4 years, and have loved them...up until about a month ago.I began itching after about the first day, like really itching. When I took the pod off there was a red rash in the shape of the pod. I called customer service and the woman suggested that I visit their website and purchase an overlay of sorts to put down on my skin and then the pod (hello, extra expense). I explained that I had never had this problem, she...

At first I was excited about the proposed experience when using the OmniPod Insulin Pump however, my interpretation of it was an enhanced experience related to privacy instead, my lack of privacy increased. When the pod nears expiration or gets low, there is an audible tone / annoying beeping associated with it. I made a complaint and was told early on that it was noted but it is what it is. That was years ago when I first switched and to...

Been waiting over 2 MONTHS for my sons supplies.Excuse after excuse. Blaming the Dr, blaming the insurance. Incompetent, rude, condescending, and when I repeatedly demanded to speak to a supervisor, every single time the supervisor was "in a meeting" or not available. I would then demand to speak to higher management, and again "in a meeting. Am currently trying to find another supplier as Liberty/Neighborhood Diabetes are the WORST.Will NEVER...

Using since 2005. I can't even keep track of how many fail. They always fail when they've been recently filled and applied. I waste so much insulin I only eat 2 meals a day to stretch it until I can get a refill. Some of the service reps don't know what they need to. I have a supposedly new updated remote and yet it has no way to activate a temporary basal, the old one did. The new remote makes you click through confirm to get on and then...
