Omnipod - Unreliable
I've been using Omnipod for about 4 months now. The worst is the pod failures. Originally, this resulted in insulin loss for me because I wasn't aware that at least some insulin could be recovered by retracting it from the insertion spot with a syringe....

We have had this SAME ISSUE. We have had to go back to syringe to get blood sugars under control.

I had a pod fail and I called Customer Service and the guy gave me no help. I asked what a certain code meant and he just kept going around my question. Any one else have/had this experience? What did you do after it happened?

I received the Omnipod at about 1 1/2 years before going on Medicare. As it turns out Omnipod is not covered by Medicare. It would have been nice that Insulet fore warned me. Now I must pay for my pods, $300/month and Medicare will only allow I pod every 5 years. If I...

This company has so much difficulty fulfilling an order. They drop off packages without a signature when directed to do otherwise, they do not send communications confirming orders. Always down to the wire with these people. We have been using this system for more...

Yes, I did call the help line three times. The first two times the individuals on the other end ended the calls before I was able to fill the pods successfully. Only on the third phone call, at around midnight, was I able to be in contact with an individual who...

This occulsion thing is getting on my nerves. I've been on the Omnipod for a month and I've had three occulsions since I've started. I think that ridiculous. All three times in the middle of receiving my insulin the pump goes off with a warning. I feel like I have to...
